Unable to urinate in late stage of gallbladder cancer may be caused by metastasis of cancer cells, or secondary renal insufficiency, adverse reaction after chemotherapy.
1. Metastasis of cancer cells: Generally, patients with gallbladder cancer will not have the phenomenon of not being able to urinate. However, when the cancer cells metastasize to the urinary system, it is easy to cause pressure on the surrounding organs, which will affect normal urination and manifest as inability to urinate.
2. Secondary renal insufficiency: because patients need to take a series of drugs such as antispasmodic drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., which act on glomeruli or tubules, and then cause renal diseases such as renal insufficiency, resulting in patients with advanced gallbladder cancer not being able to urinate.
3. Adverse reaction after chemotherapy: patients with advanced gallbladder cancer need to apply chemotherapeutic drugs such as fluorouracil, gemcitabine and so on for treatment, which are relatively strong in stimulation and will cause damage to different organs of the body, so some patients will have inability to urinate.
There are many reasons that lead to inability to urinate in advanced stage of gallbladder cancer, so it is necessary to report to doctor in time and do relevant examination to clarify the reasons.
