A small granulation under the tongue may be condyloma acuminatum, papillary hyperplasia, papilloma, which is usually removed by surgery, laser or freezing.
1. Acromegaly: small buds appearing under the tongue may be acromegaly, manifesting as single or multiple nodules, with or without clitoris, cauliflower-like, pale in color. The treatment can use laser, freezing, surgical excision method, local drugs can use fluorouracil ointment coating.
2. Papillary hyperplasia: poor oral restorations or poor hygiene may cause papillary hyperplasia, which may occur in the gingival sulcus at the edge of the denture, treatment requires oral hygiene and cleanliness, removal of bad restorations and then surgical excision.
3. Papilloma: it is mostly a single lesion with the appearance of papillae or cauliflower, and it is mainly treated by surgical excision.
