Chinese mental health standards

Chinese people finally have their own mental health standards, this is the good news that the reporter learned from the 20th anniversary celebration of the Zhejiang Mental Health Association and the Ninth Annual Academic Conference held here. Professor Cai Zhuoji, chairman of the Chinese Mental Health Association, in an academic report entitled “Maintaining Mental Health and Building a Harmonious Society DD Mental Health Concepts and Standards”, introduced for the first time publicly the Chinese mental health standards and the process of establishing them. It is understood that the World Health Organization established a global definition of health 60 years ago (1948): “not only the absence of disease and infirmity, but also the physical, mental and social integrity of the individual.” However, there has been no definition or criteria for mental health. There is also a gap in the elements of mental health criteria and evaluation for Chinese people. Recently, Chinese mental health experts have established six criteria and evaluation elements for Chinese mental health through repeated surveys and studies: first, emotional stability and a sense of security. Evaluation elements: self-awareness, self-acceptance; Third, self-learning, independent living. Evaluation elements: life ability, learning ability, problem solving ability; Fourth, interpersonal relationship harmony. Evaluation elements: good interpersonal skills, interpersonal satisfaction, acceptance of others; Fifth, role function harmonization. Evaluation elements: role function, behavior in accordance with age, behavior in accordance with the environment, and achievement of personal satisfaction; Sixth, adaptation to the environment and coping with frustration. Evaluation elements: exposure to reality, acceptance of reality, and coping with frustration. Cai Zhuoji, one of the main experts in the research and development of Chinese mental health standards and evaluation elements, told the reporter that the research of Chinese mental health standards is based on two backgrounds: First, the impact of mental health on the happiness of life and on the construction of a harmonious society has become increasingly obvious; second, the Party and the State attach great importance to the maintenance of mental health in China, and the significance of mental health has been highly valued by the State and fully recognized by society. Fully recognized. Experts discussed and came up with 14 criteria for the mental health of Chinese people: first, intelligence: normal intelligence; second, realism: adapt to the surrounding environment, able to face and accept reality; third, interpersonal relationships: coordination of interpersonal relationships; fourth, social morality: behavior in line with social norms; fifth, social role function: able to effectively exercise the function of social roles; sixth, self-knowledge: objective evaluation and requirements for themselves; seventh Self-awareness: self-esteem, self-confidence, self-acceptance; viii, subjective experience: a sense of security and happiness; ix, compassion and love: with compassion and love; x, emotional health: a happy state of mind, emotional stability; xi, will health: with independence, decisiveness, persistence and self-control; xii, psychological characteristics and age-appropriate: mental behavior consistent with age; xiii, self-actualization. In processing, the principle adopted was: analyze the agreement rate of experts and retain the standards with an agreement rate of R95.0%; categorize the expert opinions into four categories: merge, delete, modify, and other, based on the more concentrated expert opinions for statistics and further modification.
