Can chromosomes be changed?

Chromosomes cannot be changed under normal circumstances, but under certain special circumstances, chromosome changes may occur.
1. Normal situation: Human genetic material, i.e. chromosomes, are relatively stable and basically do not change throughout life. When a woman is pregnant, she can confirm her baby’s chromosome problem through amniocentesis to determine whether there is any genetic chromosome disorder.
2. Special circumstances: Chromosomes in some specific parts or tissues may change under specific circumstances, such as in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women are often exposed to a large number of teratogens, such as radiation, etc., which may cause chromosomal changes in the egg. The number of chromosomes does not usually change, but mutations can occur, for example.
