Hemorrhoid blood in stool is bright red in color. Blood in the stool is a common clinical symptom of hemorrhoids, especially internal hemorrhoids, which tend to bleed mainly during defecation or during overexertion, drinking alcohol, or eating irritating foods (such as chili peppers), thus causing the hemorrhoidal veins to stagnate and swell, and the hemorrhoidal veins to rupture thus causing bleeding. Blood in the stool is bright red and can sometimes be spotted, sprayed, or dripped. Blood in the stool does not mix with feces, is usually painless, has intermittent episodes, and sometimes the bleeding can stop on its own after a bowel movement. Hemorrhoid blood is bright red, and if hemorrhoid bleeding is heavy, it will show up as blood moving retrograde toward the rectum and then resting in the rectal jugular, resulting in a dark brown blood clot when you have a bowel movement.
