Azithromycin, a broad-spectrum, macrolide antibiotic, is often used in clinical practice. It is effective in treating common infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, and soft tissues of the skin. Azithromycin usually comes in a box of 6 tablets, each tablet is 0.1 g. There are two ways to use it, the first is to take 0.2 g daily in a single dose for 3 days. For children, the maximum daily dose of azithromycin is 12mg per kg of body weight, and the maximum daily dose does not exceed 0.5g. The most common adverse effects are gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
