The normal value of alpha fetoprotein is usually 0-25ug/L. In primary liver cancer, alpha fetoprotein may be significantly increased, especially when the alpha fetoprotein value is greater than or equal to 200ug/L for 2 months or greater than or equal to 400ug/L for 1 month, it is highly suspected to be primary liver cancer. In addition to primary liver cancer, germline embryonal cancer such as ovarian cancer, testicular cancer, teratoma, etc.; stomach cancer or pancreatic cancer can also increase the level of alpha fetoprotein in blood. The value of alpha fetoprotein, such as viral hepatitis and cirrhosis, may also be increased to different degrees, but it is often less than 200ug/L. The value of alpha fetoprotein in pregnant women during pregnancy may also be increased, but most of them are less than 300ug/L.
