What is allergic rhinitis? What are the common allergens?

Allergic rhinitis; also known as nasal allergy, sometimes called “chytridiomycosis”, is an overreaction of the body’s immune system to allergens present in the surrounding environment.

Common allergens: ■ Pollen (trees, grass seeds) ■ Molds (indoor and outdoor) ■ Animal dander (especially cats, dogs and mice) ■ Dust mites ■ Other (such as decorative materials, car exhaust, cosmetics or food additives)
