Maitong is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, which is the dried tuberous root of Maitong (along the steps of the grass) of the lily family, alias Maitong, along the steps of the grass. Its taste is sweet, slightly bitter, slightly cold in nature, and it belongs to the stomach, lung and heart meridians. It can be decocted and taken internally or eaten in pills, powders and creams.

It should be noted that it is contraindicated for those who have coldness in the spleen and stomach (weak and cold spleen and stomach), diarrhea, phlegm in the stomach (pathological products formed by the impaired metabolism of water and liquid), dampness and coughing and wind-cold sensation.
