What’s wrong with a 2 1/2 year old with recurring fevers?

Recurrent fever in a 2.5 year old child may be caused by Kawasaki disease, scarlet fever, pediatric pneumonia and other reasons.
1. Kawasaki disease: Kawasaki disease may be triggered when the child’s immune system is abnormal. Kawasaki disease causes inflammation of blood vessels all over the body, and if the inflammation is not effectively controlled, the symptoms of persistent and recurrent fever usually appear and last for a long time.
2. Scarlet Fever: Scarlet Fever may be caused by Streptococcus pyogenes infection. When the pathogenic bacteria invade into the body, persistent and recurrent fever accompanied by headache, rash and other symptoms may occur.
3. Pediatric Pneumonia: Children’s resistance is relatively weak, if bacteria, viruses and other pathogens into the body can not be removed in a timely manner may lead to pneumonia, fever, cough and other symptoms, if the treatment is not complete, there may be recurrent symptoms of fever.
There may be other reasons for a 2.5 year old child’s recurring fevers, so it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause, and then be given standardized treatment by the doctor.
