Can abdominal ultrasound detect celiac disease?

Ultrasound has many advantages and can detect many problems with the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries, but there is one thing that unfortunately ultrasound cannot do for celiac disease. So far, including abdominal ultrasound, even though transvaginal ultrasound is a little more frequent and goes directly to the cervix, it still can’t detect celiac disease. For the evaluation of celiac disease, it’s actually quite simple, as long as the gynecological exam is propped up to open the vagina and look at the cervix, you’ll basically be able to get a clear picture of celiac disease. So nowadays, the assessment of cervical erosion mainly relies on gynecological examination. Ultrasound is not used as a means of assessing cervical erosion and there is no way to see cervical erosion, but only to see the problem inside the cervix. Because celiac disease is mainly an ectocervix problem, ultrasound cannot see it due to resolution reasons, such as cervical cysts, cervical canal polyps, etc., including cervical erosion, which can only be seen clearly if it develops and more serious patients develop cervical tumors and cervical cancer, which invades the cervical muscle layer. Usually, even if the cervical erosion is serious, early cervical cancer is not visible by ultrasound. So ultrasound has its limitations, not all problems can be seen clearly, similar to cervical erosion, or early cervical cancer ultrasound is not able to see. Of course, if the uterus itself has myometrial problems or ovarian problems, ultrasound is more sensitive.
