Can hard lung foci heal on their own?

Lung nodules do not usually heal on their own, that is, they do not go away on their own. Most lung nodules are benign and have little effect on the patient’s lung function, so they usually require no special treatment. For a few malignant lung nodules, they need to be treated as soon as possible with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Most of the hard nodular foci in the lung are benign foci left behind by local scar repair when the foci are not fully absorbed during the healing process of tuberculosis, lung abscess, etc. They generally have little effect on the health of the body and do not further affect the lung function of the patient, so they do not require special treatment.
If the chest CT report suggests that the lung nodule is accompanied by lobar sign, vacuolar sign, pleural depression sign and other imaging manifestations, it may be a malignant lesion, which needs to be reviewed regularly under the guidance of the doctor or treated by surgical resection, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other means.
If examination reveals hard nodular foci in the lungs, it is recommended to consult a doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions for examination and treatment.
