For the treatment of mild hydronephrosis, we should actively search for the cause of hydronephrosis. If the hydronephrosis is caused by stones, lithotripsy treatment should be given. The more common methods of lithotripsy include lithotriptic drugs, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy and surgery. If the hydronephrosis is caused by narrowing of the renal pelvis and ureteral junction, surgery is also required. If it is caused by prostate enlargement or tumor, surgery is also usually used. Some female patients have hydrocele due to compression caused by uterine tumors, and this condition also usually requires surgical treatment. For the above mentioned tumors, some of them have metastasized and the value of surgical treatment is relatively small, only radiotherapy or chemotherapy can be given. If the compression cannot be released temporarily, a double J tube can be placed to temporarily relieve the symptoms of hydrocele.
