Since fibroids are estrogen-dependent tumors, the dietary principle is to not eat foods containing phytoestrogens and animal estrogens, such as royal jelly, soy milk, honey, snow clams, black beans, peanut butter, onions and red wine, so patients with fibroids should not eat these foods. In addition, patients with uterine fibroids should eat a light diet, with more fresh fruits and vegetables and less greasy food. It is recommended that patients with uterine fibroids have an ultrasound examination every six months to find out the size and growth rate of the fibroids and whether abnormalities occur.
