What’s that little red rash on the glans?



Small red rashes on the glans may be caused by penile pearly papules, circumcision, allergic factors, and condyloma acuminatum.

1. Penile pearly papules: a benign lesion, usually appearing on the glans and the coronary groove, for the color of skin or red pimples, there are no clinical symptoms, and do not need special treatment.

2. Inflammation of the foreskin and glans: when men have a long foreskin or prepuce, it will make the area of the foreskin and glans infected, due to the inflammatory material stimulation, it can make the glans have a small red rash, accompanied by itching, pain and other symptoms.

3. Allergic factors: such as allergic reactions to condoms or toiletries, resulting in allergic reactions on the glans, can make the glans have red pimples, may also be accompanied by intense itching and pain.

4. Condyloma acuminatum: a sexually transmitted disease, usually caused by human papilloma virus infection, can lead to the appearance of skin color or red cauliflower-like protrusions on the glans, some patients will have mild itching and pain, the area will gradually increase.
