The feeling of cotton on the feet is caused by neurosyphilis, diabetes mellitus, peripheral neuropathy, spinal degeneration, cerebrovascular degeneration, etc. Different diseases require the use of different drugs.
1. Neurosyphilis: penicillin, ceftriaxone and other drugs can be used, if penicillin allergy, doxycycline, tetracycline hydrochloride and so on (liver and kidney insufficiency is prohibited).
2. Diabetes mellitus: α-zinc sulfate, methylcobalamin, prostaglandin analogs (such as latanoprost, etc.), etc. can relieve symptoms, but the main thing is to control blood sugar.
3. Peripheral neuropathy: corticosteroids (e.g. dexamethasone, prednisolone, etc.), neurotrophic drugs (e.g. vitamin B1, B2, etc.).
4. Spinal cord degeneration: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. aspirin, salazosulfapyridine, acetaminophen, etc.), neurotrophic drugs (e.g. coenzyme A, etc.), muscle relaxants (e.g. succinylcholine, cylindrolysine, etc.), lipoic acid, etc.
5. Cerebrovascular lesions: aspirin combined with clopidogrel, etc.
Drug therapy is only conservative treatment and should be used under the guidance of a doctor. If the symptoms are serious or conservative treatment is ineffective, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
