Chondrodysplasia can be caused by a genetic problem or by an abnormality in a chromosomal gene. Chondrodysplasia is a serious metabolic disease that is hereditary and may occur in children born to parents who have chondrodysplasia. However, in some children, the disease is caused by a genetic mutation, which is not only related to heredity, but also to chromosomal dominance. There is no treatment for chondrodysplasia, so pregnant women should avoid as many harmful factors as possible during pregnancy, and try to stay away from smoke, alcohol, drugs, pesticides, radiation, volatile gases, heavy metals and so on.
