There is no one degree of cervical columnar epithelial ectopia, which may refer to mildness and is a classification of cervical erosion. Cervical columnar epithelial ectopia is cervical erosion and is generally classified as mild, moderate and severe, depending mainly on the degree of inflammation. It is mild if the inflammation does not exceed 1/3 of the area, it can be defined as moderate if it is 1/3-2/3, and severe if the inflammation is more than 2/3 of the area. The localized cervical erosion-like changes due to estrogen are seen in women of adolescent and childbearing age, a period of high estrogen secretion; they are also seen in women taking oral contraceptives or during pregnancy, where mild columnar epithelial ectoplasia of the cervix occurs, a physiological phenomenon that usually does not require special treatment and can disappear on its own. Patients should be reviewed regularly and should do a good job of cleaning their pubic area on a daily basis and try not to be too rough during intercourse to avoid bleeding. If the ectopic surface of cervical columnar epithelium is large and inflammatory, i.e. moderate and severe cervical columnar epithelial ectopic, medication such as metronidazole pessary, diazoxide pessary, etc. can be placed in the vagina as prescribed by the doctor, and physical therapy such as electrocoagulation, freezing, laser, etc. should be used during the treatment period, and more attention should be paid to rest and not to overwork.
