Invasive breast cancer corresponds to the concept of pathological type and advanced breast cancer corresponds to the concept of breast cancer stage, therefore, invasive breast cancer does not necessarily mean that it is advanced breast cancer. Early stage breast cancer and advanced stage breast cancer belong to one kind of breast cancer staging, and invasive breast cancer belongs to the most common type of breast cancer, in which there are early stage breast cancer and advanced stage breast cancer. Patients with invasive breast cancer should be diagnosed early and treated early to achieve good results as well. For breast cancer staging, it is simply divided into early, intermediate and advanced stages. Early stage breast cancer also includes breast carcinoma in situ, which means the tumor has not broken through the basement membrane and usually does not appear to spread outward or metastasize. For breast cancer with smaller tumor, less invasive and no metastasis in lymph nodes, it also belongs to early stage breast cancer. Advanced breast cancer refers to the stage where the tumor has metastasized to other organs in the distant area and is clinically incurable. The treatment for this group of patients is mainly to prolong the survival time and improve the quality of patients’ survival through systemic treatment.
