Electronic gastroduodenoscopy, also known as gastroscopy and duodenoscopy, is used to observe the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, biliary and pancreatic ducts.
Gastroscopy is used to insert the gastroscope into the digestive tract through the oral cavity and observe the esophageal mucosa, gastric mucosa and duodenal mucosa during the insertion process, whether there is obvious inflammation, ulceration, edema, erosion and other damages on the surface of the mucosa, and whether there is any submucosal bulge, polyp hyperplasia, tumor growth, etc., and the diseased parts will be extracted by forceps, and then send them to the Department of Pathology for testing.
Duodenoscopy mainly reaches the duodenal papilla and observes the duodenum, bile ducts and pancreatic ducts with the help of imaging, etc., to clarify whether there are bile duct stones, biliopancreatitis and other conditions.
