Symptoms of low progesterone

If pregnancy is followed by low progesterone may cause symptoms of pre-menstrual abortion such as stomach pain and vaginal bleeding to occur. For women who are not pregnant, low progesterone production may cause shortened menstrual cycle or a small amount of vaginal bleeding during the premenstrual period. It is appropriate to take oral progesterone for two weeks after ovulation to maintain the luteal function. If there is no pregnancy and there are no other accompanying symptoms such as abnormal bleeding, the progesterone level may not be routinely tested. In early pregnancy, when intrauterine pregnancy as well as intrauterine pregnancy is not yet determined, you can indirectly judge whether it is ectopic pregnancy based on the doubling of hcg and the fluctuation of progesterone value. If the doubling of hcg is poor and the progesterone value is less than 5, you should be alert to ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, do not blindly take oral progesterone for fetal preservation treatment just because of low progesterone in the early stage, but only after the intrauterine pregnancy is clear. If progesterone is low after intrauterine pregnancy, you can try progesterone supplementation, choosing oral or intramuscular injection. It is necessary to observe the dynamic changes of progesterone level, as long as it goes up, it is a good sign. But once the abnormal vaginal bleeding and stomach pain and other symptoms should actively seek medical attention, early pregnancy is actually nature’s superior process, even if the progesterone value to make up for the miscarriage may not occur.
