Is bleeding laryngeal cancer terminal?

Bleeding symptoms of laryngeal cancer patients cannot determine whether the disease has progressed to advanced stage, and cancer staging should be comprehensively analyzed according to the specific pathological type of the patient, the primary foci of the cancer, and whether there are lymph nodes or distant metastases. Common clinical symptoms of laryngeal cancer include blood in sputum, sore throat, foreign body sensation, hoarseness, etc. According to different locations, it can be classified into supraglottis, glottis and subglottis cancers, and according to the differences of patients’ specific types, individual physique and other factors, bleeding symptoms of laryngeal cancer patients may occur in any period from I to IV, so only relying on the symptoms can not clarify the period of progression of patients’ disease. Therefore, symptoms alone cannot determine the progression of the patient’s disease. Currently, laryngeal cancer staging method is mainly TNM staging, which describes the progress of the patient’s disease and analyzes the patient’s condition comprehensively from the three aspects of the primary foci of the cancer, the presence of lymph nodes, and the presence of distant metastases. It is recommended that laryngeal cancer patients with bleeding symptoms go to oncology department, head and neck surgery department, ENT department of regular hospitals for consultation, and do not make judgment on their own.
