Why do you get a lacunar cerebral infarction with mild cerebral atrophy?

The cause of the emergence of multiple lacunar cerebral infarction mild brain atrophy is mainly caused by the lesion of small arteries in the brain under various factors. Due to the patient’s high risk factors such as obesity, lack of exercise, smoking, alcoholism and other high risk factors, coupled with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and other underlying diseases, the small blood vessels of the brain lesions are relatively narrowed and the blood flow is reduced. When there is thrombosis or embolus dislodgement and blockage, it leads to further reduction of blood flow in the already narrow small blood vessels, and ultimately the formation of ischemic infarction of brain tissue. If the lesions occur in the terminal arteries of the deep penetrating branches of the brain, the necrotic tissues can be absorbed to form tiny cavities after infarction, thus becoming lacunar cerebral infarction. Under the condition of ischemia, brain cells will shrink, deform and necrosis, and then form cerebral atrophy. Therefore, in daily life, we should pay attention to regular work and rest, quit smoking and drinking, appropriate physical exercise, reasonable diet, control blood pressure, blood sugar and blood fat to maintain stability, and seek medical treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the condition.
