Is a dry cough a new form of coronary pneumonia?

A little dry cough is not necessarily indicative of novel coronavirus infection. Although the typical symptoms of novel coronavirus pneumonia are fever, malaise, and dry cough, dry cough alone is not diagnostic of novel coronavirus infection. The diagnosis of novel coronavirus requires a combination of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, and laboratory tests. If the patient has only a dry cough, no other symptoms such as fever, and no history of exposure to the infected area, the patient can be treated symptomatically and closely observed. If necessary, CT examination of the chest can be performed first, and if it indicates abnormalities, further improvement of the novel coronavirus nucleic acid test is needed to clarify the diagnosis.
