The Department of Orthopedics at Jian Gong Hospital has been implementing integrated surgery-rehabilitation treatment since June 2006. A rehabilitation treatment room has been set up in the orthopedic department, a full-time rehabilitator and advanced rehabilitation equipment have been introduced, and the experience of developed countries in Europe and the United States has been adopted. The orthopedic surgeon, together with the rehabilitation therapist, nurse and patient, form a treatment team and are responsible for all treatment work of the patient’s consultation – admission – pre-operation – operation – post-operation – rehabilitation – discharge. The patient’s diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, evaluation and care are closely integrated. We start rehabilitation treatment as soon as anesthesia is recovered after surgery, try to carry out at the bedside to reduce patient pain and accidents caused by moving, adopt different rehabilitation measures according to the patient’s different conditions, keep the patient informed and cooperate with the treatment plan, and provide timely feedback to the doctor to adjust the treatment response.
