What are the indications for hemodialysis?

  End-stage renal disease Indications for dialysis: (1) Non-diabetic nephropathy eGFR<10ml/min/1.73m2; diabetic nephropathy eGFR<15ml/min/1.73m2; BUN>28.6mmol/L, or SCr>707.2umol/L. (2) Dialysis treatment may be started earlier when there are the following conditions, as appropriate: severe complications, which cannot be effectively controlled by drug treatment, etc. cannot be effectively controlled, such as excessive volume including acute heart failure, intractable hypertension; hyperkalemia; metabolic acidosis; hyperphosphatemia; anemia; significant weight loss and deterioration of nutritional status, especially with nausea and vomiting, etc.  2.Acute kidney injury. Oliguria or anuria for more than two days; blood creatinine ≥ 442 μmol/L (5 mg/ dl); or the presence of hypercatabolism (daily blood urea nitrogen rise of more than l0 mmol/L, blood creatinine rise of more than 177 μmol/L or blood potassium rise of more than 1~2 mmol/L).  3.Drug or poison poisoning.  4.Severe water, electrolyte and acid-base balance disorders.  5, Other: such as severe hyperthermia, hypothermia, etc.
