Arthritis: Arthritis is a general term for a number of diseases that occur when the joint surfaces wear down. The joint surface is covered by smooth articular cartilage. The articular cartilage allows the joint to move freely without pain. Wear and tear of the joint surfaces is associated with a range of factors. The cause is unknown. When the articular cartilage surface wears away, direct bone contact friction produces pain. Numerous causes can contribute to arthritis, but the likelihood of developing arthritis usually increases with age.
Possible causes of arthritis.
1.Infant trauma, joint dislocation, osteochondrosis, epiphyseal detachment
2. Congenital hip deformity may cause arthritis
3.Fracture
4, excessive weight bearing, overuse, obesity
5, ischemic necrosis
6.Infection
7.Related tissue diseases
8, poor lifestyle
9, inflammation Rheumatoid arthritis
Performance of hip arthritis.
1.Thinning or even loss of articular cartilage surface
2, cartilage damage and the degree of inflammation with the type and progress of arthritis changes
3, swelling of articular cartilage
4. Narrowing and irregularity of the joint cavity, which can be observed on x-ray
5. Bone spurs or bone free bodies can be produced at the edge of the joint
6. The combination of these factors causes stiffness and restricts movement of the hip joint, resulting in pain and fatigue.
Diagnosis: The diagnosis of osteoarthritis is based on history, physical examination, and imaging. There are no hematologic tests available to diagnose osteoarthritis.
