Sheng Hei Tang is a Chinese herbal formula with the effects of tonifying Qi, replenishing Blood and taking in Blood, and can be used for disturbed heart and restlessness, five heart-heat (heat in the two hearts of the hands and the two hearts of the feet, and self-consciousness of being irritated by heat in the heart and chest), and so on.
Sheng Hei Tang has been recorded in the following volume of the Orchid Chamber Secret Collection. In clinical practice, it can be used to treat disturbed heart and restlessness, excessive blood discharge from all malignant sores, all blood loss or blood deficiency, excessive pus discharge from sores, and five heart-quieting heat, etc. It can also be used to treat women’s hypermenorrhea. It can also be used to treat women’s menstruation, which is excessive, pale and thin.
There is also a record of Sheng Gui Tang in the “Medical Zong Jin Jian – Censoring and Supplementing Famous Physicians’ Formulas”, which is mainly Four Substance Soup with Astragalus and Ginseng, which can treat all kinds of excessive blood loss, annoying heat and thirst, yin deficiency and weak qi, and restlessness in sleeping.
