There are many reasons for itchy right nipple, and whether it is a precursor of breast cancer should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis, and cannot be generalized. If there are no other symptoms besides itching, such as itchy nipples in late pregnancy, it is a normal reaction during pregnancy and there is no need to worry about it. If, in addition to itchy symptoms, the patient has eczema-like changes such as itching, erosion, breaking, oozing, crusting, flaking and pain in the nipple areola, she should be alert to eczema-like carcinoma of the breast, which occurs in women around 50 years old and most of them have unilateral onset, and she should go to the hospital for breast imaging, such as breast ultrasound and X-ray for diagnosis. Women with itchy right nipple should remove suspected allergic factors, quit smoking and drinking, and abstain from eating irritating foods such as chili peppers; avoid strong scratching and hot water scalding to maintain local cleanliness; and not wear bras made of chemical fiber fabrics. In case of other symptoms, women should actively consult the breast surgery department.
