The normal range of pre-lunch blood glucose is usually judged by reference to random blood glucose, i.e., 3.9 to 11.1 mmol/L, so pre-lunch blood glucose of 6.5 mmol/L is within the normal range. If there is a suspicion of elevated blood glucose, it is recommended that fasting blood glucose and other tests such as an oral glucose tolerance test be performed. Normal fasting blood glucose is 3.9~6.1mmol/L, 2 hours after meal blood glucose normal range should be less than 7.8mmol/L, if fasting or two hours after meal blood glucose value is abnormal need to consider the existence of pre-diabetes or diabetes.
