Signs of improvement of novel coronavirus

Patients with novel coronavirus infection have upper respiratory tract infection and pulmonary inflammation as the main clinical signs. If the disease is controlled after aggressive treatment, there is a tendency for clinical symptoms and laboratory indications to improve. Usually, by the second week of illness, the body temperature is normal for three consecutive days and the chest CT shows an improving trend, i.e., the area of the inflammatory exudate film on the lung CT is reduced and the patient’s symptoms of chest suffocation and dyspnea are improved. If the nucleic acid test is negative twice in a row on the next day, it means that the new coronavirus is effectively controlled and the patient can be diagnosed as clinically cured. If the lung inflammation has not yet been completely absorbed, the patient needs to continue conditioning, continue rest and recovery, and not rush to go out or work. Content source: Dr. You Lai
