Common side effects of methimazole tablets include: i. Drug fever. ii. Granulocyte deficiency, which can also occur several weeks or months after the start of treatment. If granulocyte deficiency occurs, the drug must be stopped and most cases can recover spontaneously. III. Allergic skin reactions of varying degrees, such as pruritus, rash, and rubella, which are mostly mild and often resolve during continued treatment. iv. Skeletal muscle and connective tissue abnormalities, and joint pain may appear gradually and even after several months of treatment. Rarer side effects include: i. Severe allergic skin reactions, including pancytopenia and alopecia. ii. Drug-induced lupus erythematosus. ii. thrombocytopenia, systemic hemocytopenia, pancytopenia, etc. III. Insulin autoimmune syndrome. IV. Contains the occurrence of taste disorders, which can be restored after discontinuation of the drug, but the return to normal may take several weeks. V. Neuritis, polyneuropathy, etc.
