Dysmenorrhea, depending on the type of evidence, can be treated by pressing points such as the subluxation, the Sanyinjiao, the Diqi, the Foot Sanli, and the seventeen vertebrae. 1. Solid evidence. The treatment is to relieve pain and regulate menstruation, and to move Qi and activate Blood (to promote the operation of Qi to make blood flow). The points chosen are mainly the meridian points of the Foot Taiyin and Ren Channels, and the main points can be chosen from the following: the Second Chamber, the Middle Pole, the Sanyinjiao, the Seventeen Vertebrae, and the Earth’s Machine. If there is stagnation of qi and blood stasis (blood stagnation due to lack of qi flow), it can be combined with blood sea and tai chong; if there is stagnation of cold and blood stasis, it can be combined with gui lai and guan yuan. 2. Evidence of deficiency. The treatment is to warm and nourish Chong Ren and regulate Qi and Blood. Selection of acupoints should be based on the meridian points of the foot Yangming, Ren, and foot Taiyin meridians, and the main acupoints can be foot Sanli, Jiusao, Guanyuan, Sanyinjiao, and XVII vertebrae. If Qi and Blood are deficient, it can be paired with Spleen Yu and Qihai; and if Kidney Qi is deficient, it can be paired with Taixi and Kidney Yu. In case of dysmenorrhea, please do not perform acupuncture or other operations on the points by yourself, and it is recommended to be treated by a specialized doctor.
