Do the non-invasive results come out at the same time as the paper report?

Non-invasive refers to non-invasive DNA testing, the results of which are not usually available at the same time as the paper report. Non-invasive DNA test is conducted by drawing venous blood of pregnant women and using DNA sequencing technology to sequence the fetal free DNA fragments in the plasma of pregnant women, from which the genetic information of the fetus can be obtained to clarify whether there is any chromosomal abnormality in the fetus. The results of the test usually come out 1~2 weeks after the blood is drawn, while the results of the paper report, which will show whether there is any chromosomal abnormality in the fetus, will be available 2~3 weeks after the blood is drawn. If the report shows the presence of chromosomal abnormalities, it is recommended to consult the attending doctor in time and improve the relevant examinations, such as amniocentesis, to clarify the cause of the disease and target treatment.
