When labor is imminent, pregnant women will have symptoms such as irregular contractions, fetal descent and a small amount of light red blood discharge from the vagina (commonly known as redness), which is called preterm labor, and its specific manifestations are as follows: 1, irregular contractions: also known as false labor, the contractions are characterized by inconsistent frequency, short duration but long intervals, and no regularity; the intensity of contractions does not tend to gradually increase; they often occur at night but can disappear in the early morning; they are not accompanied by signs of labor such as short cervical canal contractions and dilatation of the uterus; they can be suppressed by sedation, etc. The contractions are not accompanied by signs of labor such as shortening of the cervical canal and dilatation of the uterine opening; contractions can be suppressed by sedation; 2. In the 24-48 hours before labor starts, the fetal membranes near the endocervix separate from the uterine wall and a small amount of bleeding occurs due to the rupture of capillaries, which is mixed with mucus in the cervical canal and is light blood-colored. The discharge of such secretions indicates that labor is about to start; 4. vaginal fluid: the continuous flow of a small amount of fluid in the vagina or the sudden flow of a large amount of fluid indicates the rupture of fetal membranes, which is also one of the precursory symptoms of labor and must be sought early. If women in late pregnancy have the above symptoms, it means that they have reached the stage of labor and should be prepared for labor. Women with high-risk pregnancy should contact the hospital in advance and choose the appropriate delivery method under the guidance of a physician.
