Chinese wolfberry nourishes the liver and kidney, benefits the essence and brightens the eyes, chrysanthemum disperses wind and clears heat, calms the liver and brightens the eyes, honeysuckle clears heat and detoxifies the toxin, and evacuates wind-heat.
Chinese wolfberry is sweet in taste and flat in nature, and belongs to the liver and kidney meridians. It has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidney, benefiting the essence and brightening the eyes. If there is soreness of waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, impotence and spermatorrhea, internal heat and thirst (internal fever accompanied by symptoms such as eating more, drinking more and urinating more), and blood atrophy and other diseases, it can be used to treat the Chinese wolfberry. People with spleen deficiency and loose stools should not take goji berries.
Chrysanthemum can be used in the treatment of wind-heat colds, headache and dizziness, redness and swelling of the eyes, blurred eyes and sores (skin disorders caused by stagnation of blood and qi due to internal invasion of poisonous evils).
Honeysuckle can be used for the treatment of laryngeal paralysis (redness, swelling and pain in the throat, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or itchy discomfort in the throat, difficulty in swallowing), fever and blood dysentery (dysentery caused by feeling the heat and venom, see blood in the stool), wind-heat colds and other diseases. Honeysuckle is contraindicated for people with cold spleen and stomach and pus-clearing sores with Qi deficiency.
The adverse effects of the above drugs are not known. Patients are advised to consult a doctor if they feel unwell, and the use of Chinese herbs alone or in combination is recommended under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, do not blindly use Chinese herbs without authorization.
