San Miao Pill is from “The True Biography of Medicine”, which is composed of Er Miao Pill and Cow Knee, with the efficacy of clearing heat and drying dampness, and can be used for impotence and paralysis caused by dampness-heat downstream injection, which is characterized by swollen and painful feet, numbness, or as hot as fire, impotence and weakness, and so on. The contraindications and adverse reactions of this formula are not clear. Si Miao Pill is from “Cheng Xian Yi Reader”, which is composed of San Miao Pill plus Semen Coix Seed, with the efficacy of clearing heat and inducing dampness (removing heat and dampness in the body), strengthening the bones and relaxing the tendons, and can be used for impotence with dampness-heat, which is characterized by numbness of the two feet, swelling, pain and impotence and weakness. The contraindications and adverse reactions of this formula are not clear. After discomfort occurs, one should consult a doctor in time and choose medication under the guidance of physician’s diagnosis, and should not use medication on one’s own in order to avoid delaying the condition.
