Minimally invasive acupuncture treatment for cerebral palsy first proposed the theory that the pathological mechanism of cerebral palsy is the “force balance disorder” of the motor system caused by the lesion of the cone system. It is believed that the contracture deformity of limb joints, which causes and aggravates the movement disorder and postural abnormality, is the main cause of physical disability due to skeletal and muscular diseases, and is the fundamental case basis of cerebral palsy. Minimally invasive acupuncture treatment restores the dynamic and static balance of contractile and antagonistic muscles around the joints, and plays a decisive role in the treatment of abnormal posture and movement disorders.
