Ear, nose and throat “internal diseases”

For example, chronic nephritis and urethritis belong to nephrology, but kidney stones, kidney cysts and urological tumors are the responsibility of urology; stomatology, oral ulcers and periodontitis belong to stomatology, while tongue cancer and oral cancer belong to stomatology. Oral cancer belongs to oral surgery. The department of stomatology originally belonged to the department of five senses, and because of the early independence of the department and the early division of labor within the department, the department of stomatology has been ahead of the discipline construction; the department of otorhinolaryngology, for historical and developmental reasons, has not yet been divided into medical and surgical departments, and in fact many otorhinolaryngological diseases only need or can be solved by medical means. Common ENT medical conditions include: chronic simple rhinitis, non-allergic chronic rhinitis, early chronic sinusitis, chronic pharyngitis, pharyngeal foreign body syndrome, chronic laryngitis, chronic cough, sudden deafness, sensorineural tinnitus, otogenic vertigo, etc. Since traditional ENT is a part of surgery, many ENT doctors are used to dealing with problems by surgical means, for example, many doctors have made a lot of efforts to study surgical treatment for allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinitis, pharyngitis, etc. in the past, but the actual results have proved to be very little, so I hope that patients will understand and not be mobilized by some people who have incomplete knowledge or even deliberately ignore patients to receive surgical treatment and spend a large amount of The cost is not helpful and even brings pain. The best means of treatment of the above-mentioned internal diseases is a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, so to speak, leaving the Chinese medicine, pure Western medicine means stretched to the limit, or even powerless, clinical use of proprietary Chinese medicine is an obvious example. However, the essence of TCM is to treat patients with evidence, that is to say, ENT doctors who are good at prescribing Chinese medicine and can integrate Chinese and Western medicine are the doctors who have the most abundant means to deal with complex diseases and are most likely to make patients receive effective treatment. We hope that patients will be understanding before they see a doctor.
