Women with a normal sex hormone profile may have polycystic ovary syndrome. A normal sex hormone profile usually indicates normal endocrine function of the ovaries, but it does not mean that polycystic ovary syndrome is not present.
The diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome requires 2 out of 3 of the following: hyperandrogenism, sporadic or absent ovulation, and polycystic ovaries on ultrasound. Adrenocortical hyperplasia, Cushing’s syndrome, and androgen-secreting tumors have been excluded.
Polycystic ovary syndrome usually manifests as female pattern hair loss, hirsutism, masculine manifestations, hyperandrogenic acne with rough skin, enlarged pores, seborrhea, obesity, infertility, depression and menstrual disorders. Usually, you should pay attention to more rest, drink more water, take a light diet, strictly prohibit staying up late, avoid eating spicy and greasy food, exercise more and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
If the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome appear, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to identify the cause of the disease, and actively treat it under the guidance of the doctor, so as not to delay the condition.
