HIV is mainly present in the blood, cerebrospinal fluid, pleural fluid, ascites, semen and vaginal secretions of the human body of HIV-infected patients, and to a lesser extent in breast milk, other secretions and excretions; any person who has access to these body fluid materials, whether in an occupational or non-occupational relationship, is at risk of infection.
The following people are recommended to be tested for AIDS: drug addicts, prostitutes, prostitutes, multi-sexual partners, MSM, paid blood donors and blood recipients, etc. Patients attending STD clinics, pre-operative, hospitalized and trauma patients, pregnant women, spouses/partners of HIV-infected/AIDS patients, pre-marital check-ups, tuberculosis patients, police officers on duty or medical personnel who are professionally exposed at work, etc. The “3C” principle: informed consent/informed consent, counseling, confidentiality, etc. The testing unit should also avoid discrimination, provide notification of results and referral and follow-up support services, etc.
