Sophora japonica belongs to the same source of medicine and food, with the effect of cooling blood and stopping bleeding (cooling and moisturizing the blood, preventing bleeding), clearing the liver and cathartic fire (clearing liver fire). Sophora japonica flower, bitter flavor, slightly cold in nature; belongs to the liver, large intestine meridian. It can be used to treat blood in the intestines and bowels caused by blood heat, hemorrhoids, blood in the urine, hemorrhagic drenching (the appearance of blood in the urine with pain), epistaxis, carbuncles, swellings and sores. The usage of acacia flowers is generally for internal use: decoction; or into pills and powder. Externally: decoction and fumigation; or powdered and sprinkled.
