Fasting blood glucose 6.13 mmol/L is not considered diabetes mellitus, if at the same time to meet the sugar load after 2h blood glucose normal is impaired fasting blood glucose. Diagnostic criteria for diabetes mellitus: diabetes mellitus can be diagnosed when fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol/L, or 2h blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L after glycemic load, or random blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol/L, accompanied by three more and one less symptom (drinking, eating, urinating, and weight loss). Fasting blood glucose greater than 6.1 but less than 7.0 mmol/L and 2-hour post glycemic load blood glucose less than 7.8 mmol/L are considered impaired. If physical examination reveals fasting blood glucose of 6.13 mmol/L, it is recommended to go to the endocrinology department of a regular hospital for further examination to clarify the diagnosis.
