Do dental implants hurt?

A dental implant is an artificial implant that is surgically placed in the dental bone, which is a dental procedure. This is already a very mature technique, performed under anesthesia, and patients generally do not experience significant pain. First of all, current anesthesia techniques and good care measures can minimize the patient’s discomfort during and after the procedure, and in general, implant surgery is slightly less uncomfortable than tooth extraction. Secondly, after the anesthetic has worn off, the mouth may feel swollen or slightly painful, depending on the individual situation, but these symptoms are generally acceptable. Finally, after the completion of the whole procedure, it takes some time to recover, during which post-operative infection or other complications are likely to occur. If the above-mentioned complications occur, toothache symptoms will occur, but so patients are advised to follow medical advice and take good oral care. After a smooth recovery, dental implants are basically indistinguishable from normal teeth and there is basically no need to worry about toothache. Therefore, there will be no significant toothache during and after the dental implant procedure. Patients are advised to relax and complete the procedure under the guidance of a professional dentist.
