IQ (Intelligence Quotient IQ) IQ is the intelligence quotient. Intelligence is often called wisdom, or intelligence. It is the ability of people to recognize objective things and apply knowledge to solve practical problems. Intelligence includes several aspects, such as observation, memory, imagination, analysis and judgment, thinking ability, and adaptability. The level of intelligence is usually expressed by the intelligence quotient, which is used to indicate the level of intellectual development. The formula for calculating IQ: IQ = mental age ÷ actual age × 100. IQ can be commonly understood as intelligence, specifically numerical, spatial, logical, vocabulary, memory and other abilities. IQ classification Human IQ can be divided into two types: innate fluid IQ (fluidIQ) and acquired crystallised IQ (crystallisedIQ). The former is related to genetics and congenital development, while the latter can be acquired through learning and experience. The brain is the material basis for IQ and has an incredible capacity. The human brain is a huge neural network system formed by 14 billion neurons and at least 14 synapses to the 10th power. The adult brain weighs 1300-1400 grams, or 2-3% of a person’s body weight, but consumes 20-25% of the body’s energy and oxygen, and 100,000 biochemical reactions occur in a second. The brain may store as much as 50 times the amount of information as the Library of Congress, which has a collection of 10 million books, up to 500 million books. If a person spends 10 hours a day for 70 years studying and trying to receive all kinds of information, the total amount is less than one percent of the capacity of the human brain. The most adept brain users use only 10 percent of their brain capacity over their lifetime. IQ assessment is a standardized test that evaluates the cognitive ability of the subject. Cognitive ability is the ability to acquire knowledge through thought. Cognitive process :The process by which people acquire knowledge or apply knowledge, or the process of information processing. The process of knowing external things, i.e., the process of processing information about external things that act on human sensory organs, is the most basic mental process of people. It includes sensation, perception, memory, imagination, thinking and language. The human brain receives the information input from the outside world, and after processing by the mind, it is converted into internal mental activities, which in turn govern human behavior, this process is the process of information processing, that is, the cognitive process. The meaning of the three scores in the IQ report: 1) VIQ ability refers to the cognitive ability in language. 2) PIQ ability refers to the cognitive ability in language. 2. PIQ ability refers to: behavioral cognitive ability. 3. FIQ ability refers to: the cognitive ability to combine verbal and behavioral aspects. In addition, from the standard scores and graphs given in each sub-category, one can further understand a number of abilities including numerical, spatial, logical, vocabulary, memory, attention, comprehension, observation, etc. Note: The IQ assessment items currently in use focus more on testing fluid IQ, but are inevitably influenced by acquired learning. At the same time, IQ is a reflection of the limits of an individual’s ability and is not equivalent to the achievement of ability, in which the influence of the acquired environment is very important.
