How to identify and confirm the diagnosis of auricular redness?

The ear is the organ of hearing that all humans have under normal circumstances. In Chinese medicine, there are four diagnoses, namely, looking, smelling, asking and cutting, and among them, looking at the ear is the way to recognize diseases. Today, we are going to introduce the way of looking at the ear in Chinese medicine to diagnose diseases. In normal people, red and lustrous ears are the manifestation of sufficient innate kidney essence; dry and lustrous ears may be due to insufficient kidney essence; people with pale white ears are afraid of cold and wind, and have cold hands and feet; red and swollen ears are mostly the manifestation of “fire”, commonly due to liver and gallbladder fire or damp heat; dry and scorched ears are often found in the late stages of infectious diseases The auricle is dry and black, most often in the late stages of infectious diseases or diabetes. If there is a dotted or flaky redness, dark redness, or dark grayness in some parts of the ear, it may be a sign of gastritis, gastric ulcer, or other digestive diseases. If there are localized nodular or striated elevations or dotted depressions in the ears, they mostly suggest chronic organic diseases, such as cirrhosis of the liver and tumors. If the local blood vessels in the ear are too full and dilated, you can see circle-like or strip-like changes, which are common in people with abnormal heart and lung functions, such as coronary heart patients and asthma patients. Looking at the ears is only part of the “diagnosis” in Chinese medicine. To judge the health condition and diagnose diseases, it should be combined with other manifestations of the whole body. Even if you observe yourself on a regular basis, you should not blindly follow the book to make a diagnosis and worry about people.
