The combination of all the herbs has the effect of relieving the exterior and eliminating dampness (relieving the exterior evils and eliminating the dampness in the body), regulating qi and harmonizing the middle (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach, so as to make the functions of the spleen and stomach smooth).
Patients with colds caused by external wind-cold, internal dampness stagnation (stagnation of dampness in the body due to overly cold diet), or summer dampness (the human body is susceptible to summer heat and dampness in the summer) can take Pohoi Xiang Zheng Qi Shui if they have headaches, vomiting and diarrhea, chest and diaphragm constriction (distension of stomach and epigastric area, stuffiness), and distension of epigastric region; and those who have gastro-intestinal type of colds with the above mentioned symptoms can take Pohoi Xiang Zheng Qi Shui.
Patchouli Zhengqi Shui may cause adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness and palpitations.
