How long does it take for the right distal radius to heal from a comminuted fracture?

For patients with a comminuted fracture of the distal right radius, recovery generally takes 3-4 months. Although the fracture of the distal right radius is comminuted and the blood flow around the fracture is significantly damaged, the cancellous bone of the distal right radius is more abundant and the blood flow is relatively rich, and after effective fixation, the bone scab will grow in 4 weeks and the fractured end will be fully recovered in 3-4 months. Therefore, after the patient has a comminuted fracture of the distal right radius, the anatomical structure of the fracture must be restored through manipulation and surgery to create favorable conditions for the fracture to heal and to avoid the limitation of wrist joint movement at a later stage.
