Most cases of solid adrenal gland nodules are not serious, usually there are no symptoms and you can have regular checkups, and if you have symptoms, you can use medication to relieve the symptoms or have surgery to remove the nodules. Nodules on the adrenal gland can be categorized into non-functional and functional nodules. In the case of non-functional adrenal nodules, which do not show any symptoms and do not affect the general condition of the body, no treatment can be taken, and regular checkups can be done to monitor the growth of the nodules. For functional adrenal nodules, they may secrete related hormones, causing changes in body conditions, such as secretion of adrenaline causing elevated blood pressure, secretion of cortisol causing obesity, secretion of aldosterone causing hypokalemia, malaise, and so on. When adrenal nodules cause uncomfortable symptoms, treatment is needed, usually using surgery to remove the nodules, but also can use drugs to relieve symptoms. Patients with solid adrenal nodules are advised to seek medical attention.
