Why are your nails uneven in vertical lines

Unevenness of the nails is commonly caused by nail injuries, malnutrition and onychomycosis.
1. Nail injury: when the nail is traumatized, the blood supply may be insufficient, resulting in slower repair of the damage, which leads to the symptom of unevenness of the vertical lines of the newly grown nail surface.
2. Malnutrition: Nutritional deficiencies in the body caused by picky eating, partiality or excessive dieting will affect the growth of the nails, resulting in the appearance of uneven nails.
3. Onychomycosis: Onychomycosis is a nail lesion caused by dermatophytes that invade the nail plate and subnail tissues, and patients may have symptoms such as thickening of the nails and shedding of nails, which may cause the nails to appear bumpy and uneven.
When patients have uneven nails, they should consult a doctor for diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
